Dr. Lisa Galasso, MD

Dr. Galasso received her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. William Beaumont Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center and is consistently ranked as a top hospital for orthopedic specialty care by U.S. News & World Report.

After residency, she completed a shoulder & elbow fellowship at the Oregon Shoulder Institute. She received specialty training in primary and revision shoulder replacement, primary and revision rotator cuff repair, rotator cuff reconstruction, shoulder dislocations and instability, fractures involving the clavicle, shoulder, humerus and elbow, tears of the bicep tendon, and elbow arthritis.

Her professional passions include helping patients achieve their goals by partnering with them in their orthopedic care. She also has a special interest in shoulder research to improve surgical technique and patient outcomes. She belongs to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons.

Dr. Galasso and her husband, who is also an orthopedic surgeon, moved to North Idaho in 2024. As a former collegiate runner, she now enjoys trail running, hiking with her husband and their dog, road/gravel cycling, weight lifting, cross-country skiing, cooking, baking and reading.
